As the largest professional golfing event regionally and one of the world's premier golf tournaments, the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open first teed off in 2015 as the first worldwide tri-sanctioned tournament endorsed by the Sunshine, European and Asian Tours. The European Tour has subsequently been rebranded to the DP World Tour and presently, the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open is a co-sanctioned Order of Merit event between the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour.
The AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open is today a source of tremendous national pride and mirrors AfrAsia Bank’s vision to not only affirm Mauritius’ status as a leading destination for tourism and golf, but also as a major international financial centre with a robust banking system and a vibrant epicentre to invest, work, live or retire.
For the second time since inaugural launch, Mont Choisy Le Golf will host the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open from 19 to 22 December 2024. This year’s tournament boasts an increased prize purse of USD 1.5 million.
